IF YOU THINK YOU MAY HAVE A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, IMMEDIATELY CALL YOUR PRIMARY DOCTOR OR GO TO THE CLOSEST MEDICAL EMERGENCY PROVIDER.

The medical services provided by Medicopin.com are different compared to in-person doctor consultations. You understand that Medicopin.com’s experts are unable to give you an evaluation based on a physical examination.

Evaluations are conducted based solely on the information and test results you provide them with. Thus, certain critical factors that medical expert might consider when they conduct physical examinations are not considered when evaluating your status based solely on the information and test results you submit. Although Medicopin.com’s elite team of doctors/medical experts will do everything they possibly can to minimize the risk of a misdiagnosis, obtaining all the information needed and staying in touch with the patient, the aforementioned risks associated with medical examinations are always present.

THIS IS WHY MEDICOPIN.COM’S ONLINE SERVICES ARE NOT AN ALTERNATIVE TO A FACE-TO-FACE CONSULTATION WITH YOUR DOCTOR. THUS, WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MEDICOPIN’S SERVICES YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE SCOPE, LIMITATIONS AND RISKS INVOLVED. BY CONSULTING MEDICOPIN, YOU ARE MAKING USE OF ONLY A SECOND OPINION.

ONLINE SERVICES FROM AFAR ARE NOT AN ALTERNATIVE TO A FACE-TO-FACE CONSULTATION WITH YOUR DOCTOR.

MEDICOPIN.COM’S DOCTORS ARE NOT PRIVY TO CERTAIN SIGNIFICANT INFORMATION THEY WOULD NORMALLY OBTAIN BY GIVING THEIR PATIENTS PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS.

THE FACT THAT THE DOCTOR HAS BEEN UNABLE TO EXAMINE YOU PHYSICALLY MAY AFFECT THEIR EVALUATION ABILITY NEGATIVELY.

ANY AND ALL INFORMATION OBTAINED AS A RESULT OF UPLOADING DOCUMENTS AND TEST RESULTS TO YOUR MEDICAL ARCHIVE DOES NOT RENDER A MEDICAL OPINION ON BEHALF OF MEDICOPIN AND MEDICOPIN.COM.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INPUT ALL ACCURATE INFORMATION AND LAB TEST RESULTS, IMAGES, AND NUMBERS INTO YOUR MEDICAL ARCHIVE.

YOU UNDERSTAND THAT REFERENCE VALUES MAY VARY SLIGHTLY AMONG LABORATORIES. OUR SYSTEM USES THE REFERENCE VALUES OF LEADING MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS AS A BASE AND CAN VARY.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE THE MEDICOPIN SERVICE (MEDICIAL OPINION) TO HAVE A DOCTOR GIVE A SECOND OPINION BASED ON THE DOCUMENTS YOU SELECTED FOR HIM/HER TO REVIEW FROM YOUR MEDIHIS ARCHIVE, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE THE PAYMENT FOR FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE MEDICAL OPINION (MEDICOPIN) SERVICE.

ALL DOCUMENTS AND FILES UPLOADED TO YOUR MEDICAL ARCHIVE ARE PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL.

YOU UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSIGN ANY DOCUMENTS AND RESULTS FROM YOUR MEDICAL ARCHIVE TO YOUR MEDICOPIN CASE.

YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THE DOCTORS CAN ONLY VIEW AND ASSESS THE DOCUMENTS THAT YOU ASSIGN TO YOUR MEDICOPIN CASE.

MEDICOPIN.COM WILL KEEP ALL MEDICAL ARCHIVE DATA IN YOUR MEDICAL ARCHIVE ONLY FOR A LIMITED PERIOD. ALL DOCUMENTS AND DATA WILL BE RETAINED ON A CONTINUED RENEWAL BASIS. IF YOU FAIL TO RENEW WITH MEDIHIS, ALL DOCUMENTS AND DATA IN YOUR ARCHIVE WILL ONLY BE RETAINED FOR THREE (3)_MONTHS UPON THE EXPIRATION OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP. DOCUMENTS AND DATA IN YOUR MEDICAL ARCHIVE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER THREE (3) MONTHS AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF MEMBERSHIP AND FAILURE TO RENEW.

ALL DOCUMENTS AND DATA IN YOUR MEDICAL ARCHIVE CAN ONLY BE PROVIDED TO DOCTORS AND PROVIDERS ASSOCIATED WITH MEDICOPIN. MEDICOPIN WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY DOCUMENTS AND DATA IN YOUR MEDICAL ARCHIVE TO ANY PERSON, PARTY OR FACILITY NOT ASSOCIATED WITH MEDICOPIN.

MEDICOPIN WILL NOT PROVIDE COPIES OF ANY DOCUMENTS AND DATES IN YOUR MEDICAL ARCHIVE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY NOT ASSOCIATED WITH MEDICOPIN.

4. PROHIBITED USE

Any use or attempted use of  MEDICOPIN.COM (i) for any unlawful, unauthorized, fraudulent or malicious purpose, or (ii) that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any server, or the network(s) connected to any server, or (iii) interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the Website, or (iv) to gain unauthorized access to any other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to any server or systems through hacking, password mining or any other means, or (v) to access systems, data or information not intended by Medicopin.com to be made accessible to a user, or (vi) attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available by Medicopin.com, or (vii) any use other than the business purpose for which it was intended, is prohibited.

MEDICOPIN.COM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE TO ANY MEMBERS AND USERS FOR ANY OF THE PROHIBITED USE BY ANOTHER MEMBER OR THIRD PARTY.

THE ARBITRATION SHALL BE ADMINISTERED BY AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION PURSUANT TO ITS ARBITRATION RULES AND PROCEDURES [AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EXPEDITED PROCEDURES IN THOSE RULES]]. JUDGMENT ON THE AWARD SHALL BE BINDING AND MAY BE ENTERED IN ANY COURT HAVING JURISDICTION.

10. CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

We appreciate your help in keeping our schedule running efficiently. If you are unable to attend an appointment or need to cancel your video recorded medical evaluation request please contact the administration.

Our physicians reserve a significant amount of time for your evolution, and our staff invests a great deal of time in scheduling and registering for your appointment. Please understand that untimely cancellations cause problems for our office and it deprives the chance of the other patients` appointment opportunity.

Furthermore, it jeopardizes our ability to ensure that our patients receive the medical care they need in a timely manner.

Please see below the time sensitive cancelation policy:

A. FOR VIDEO CONFERENCE APPOINTMENT

We provide courtesy reminder e-mails before your appointment. You are responsible for remembering scheduled appointments. Stating that you did not receive reminder e-mail does not make your missed or cancelled appointment an exception.

B. FOR VIDEO RECORDED EVALUATION

If a doctor has already reviewed the case and finished his evaluation, cancellation is not permitted. If the evaluation process is not completed at the time of the cancellation request, a 20 % service fee will be charged and an 80% service fee will be refunded.

C. FOR ELECTRONIC MEDICAL ARCHIVE (MEDIHIS)

Medihis service fee is non-refundable. Medihis users can cancel their account at any time.

11. RESCHEDULING

You will be permitted to reschedule an appointment only twice with the same doctor 48 hours prior to your appointment date.  Doctors associated with Medicopin.com  have the right to reschedule an appointment at all times. Medicopin.com will honor any reschedule made by a doctor.

12. LINKS TO THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

Medicopin.com may contain hyperlinks to other sites owned and operated by parties other than Medicopin.com. Such hyperlinks are provided only for ready reference and ease of use. We do not control such websites and cannot be held responsible for their content or accuracy and do not endorse these sites unless we specifically so state. In the event Medicopin.com provides hyperlinks to other websites that are not owned, operated or maintained by Medicopin.com, you acknowledge and agree that Medicopin.com is not responsible for and is not liable for the content, products, services or other materials on or available from such websites.

We accept no liability for any information, products, advertisements, content, services or software accessible through these third party websites or for any action you may take as a result of linking to any such website.
